I first saw The Color Factory via some instagram recommended posts and found myself going down the instagram rabbit hole where next thing you know you’re looking at a visitor from Tokyo with a caption that you can’t read, but who has an amazing and colorful picture. Don’t act like you haven’t done this before and somehow ended up on a friends’ ex’s mother’s cat’s account. At least this time it lead me to a new SF adventure.
The tickets were listed as sold out and I was crazy enough to consider buying them on Craigslist, but lo and behold they announced another batch of tickets. After sitting on the site for 45+ minutes with multiple browsers open and the site repeatedly crashing with apologetic notes on the ticket sales company’s twitter, I secured 2 tickets for Labor Day weekend when my college gf Lauren was in town. In case you haven’t spent hours jealously perusing strangers’ Instagram accounts, you can now see it through our eyes.
P.S. if you do snag tickets, you’ll quickly learn that they’re so limited because they truly only let a small group through at a time. You’ll really appreciate it once you’re in there and you have time to play around taking pictures without waiting in lines or ending up with 75 strangers in the background of all your pics!

Bidding a sad adieu to The Color Factory
Our night at The Color Factory came too soon, but stay tuned for a photo diary of the beautiful Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa.
